(Parliament, Wednesday) :  Happy Deepavali to all Malaysians.  This is one of the national holidays for  all Malaysians to celebrate the nation’s  racial, religious and cultural diversity, which are the country’s richest national assets in the world and challenges of globalization in the 21^st century.

Next year, Malaysia will be commemorating the 50^th National Day anniversary. It will be a good idea if  efforts are planned by all Malaysian stakeholders  to make  next year’s Deepavali the most significant occasion  in the half-century of Malaysian nationhood.
